Fleas and other parasites should always be awarded the highest priority by dog owners. Flea bite allergy in dogs is all too common and causes concern to many dog owners every year, especially in the summer, although all year round if your dog lives indoors with central heating. This is because flea bites often produce allergic reactions in the area bitten by the fleas, which is very often on the back just above the tail. In these cases, the affected skin becomes red and bald due to the dog’s continuous scratching of itself.

Heavy flea infestations can cause severe dermatitis in dogs. If the flea bites cause allergic reactions or dermatitis in the dog, it really ought to be taken to the vet, because on many occasions, the dog will be experiencing severe discomfort.

The vet will provide you a salve to ease the itching and reduce the inflammation and some powder or a spray to kill the fleas. Prevention, however, is better than cure and medicated collars are available to treat and prevent an infestation of external blood-suckers like ticks and fleas.

Apart from fleas, other parasites like ticks and lice plus the internal parasites like hookworms, round worms, whip worms etc. can have an adverse effect on the the health of your dog. For example, if hookworms have infected a dog, that dog will almost surely suffer from anaemia soon. The signs of anaemia become more obvious according to the advancement of the hookworm infection.

Hookworm larvae will pass directly through the skin into the internal body and cause severe problems inside the affected dog. These dogs may reveal cuts on their paws and on their skin because of dermatitis. Often, skin rashes result too in these cases and the infected animal may also have diarrhoea, which is flecked with blood.

Most dogs and all puppies get round worms, which is why dogs can sometimes be seen rubbing their bottoms along the ground. However, if round worms are present in very large numbers, affected puppies show a pot belly, which is easily noticeable by the dog’s owners themselves. A dose of piperazine salts is given orally for the cure of this problem. However, broad-spectrum anthelmintics like pyrantel pamoate, fenbendazole etc. are also used to cure this very common condition.

There are many drugs on the market to treat fleas and other parasites these days, although medications containing the drug ‘ivermectin’ seem to be preferred by many dog owners to clear up fleas and other parasites in dogs. This drug is available for injection or oral use but is now even available for external application too.

When you think of annoying things, mosquitoes are at the top of the list. I was never so happy when I stumbled upon a Coleman Mosquito Deleto for sale a while back. I read up on the system and found out how well it worked. My skin was already jumping for joy.

I purchased the Mosquito Deleto a while back. I wanted something that would protect my skin and outdoor experience. Unfortunately for all humans, mosquitoes pick up body odors, heat and carbon dioxide from us. That means they are always drawn to us.

The Mosquito Deleto does everything you could ask a product to do. The pests are gone and stay away. Let?s look at how they do this.

I previously mentioned how mosquitoes notice human beings. While that information is useful to know, what Mosquito Deleto did was build their entire concept on it.

The product puts out carbon dioxide, odors and body heat to make the mosquitoes think it is a human. The lure does the trick, as they are quickly caught on some adhesive before they die.

There is an available add-on called the Mosquito Deleto Inhibitor. What it does is puts out another odor that keeps the mosquitoes directly off of you. This is a welcomed thing.

The pricing of the Mosquito Deleto is about $200 retail. The cost to replace the adhesive every so often is $10-20.

If you need to find the best price, look no further than online. I bought mine for a cheaper price when they had them on sale at Amazon. There are sales everywhere if you look.

Good luck on eliminating the mosquitoes. This past summer was the first one I was able to thoroughly enjoy thanks to this thing.
